Curling Rogerson League

The Rogerson League was established in 1979 as a competition between Anwoth & Girthon, Borgue, Kirkcudbright, Tongland and Twyholm curling clubs.

The final round saw four clubs on equal points all with a opportunity of winning. Kirkcudbright beat Twynholm and Anwoth & Girthon won against Tongland. Kirkcudbright were declared victors by virtue of a greater shots difference. This is the first time that Kirkcudbright have been winners,  though they have been close on previous occasions.

The Kirkcudbright rink played well throughout the tournament with Bill Roff (Lead) and Rose Shields( Second) laying the foundations for Robin Shields (Sub Skip) and David Baty (Skip) to build upon and secure victory.
