Club Training
Kirkcudbright Curling's General Training Programme was set up to give new curlers an introduction to the sport, improve the standard of curling within the Club and improve the general curling skill sets of all Club members.

The Programme delivers one training session per week from mid-September to the end of February. The training is held at the Ice Bowl at Dumfries, usually on a Monday afternoon from 14:30 to 16:30 or a Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 12:00 and is delivered by Scottish Curling qualified coaches.
Club training encompasses coaching on all aspects of curling with the aim of giving everybody a basic knowledge of the rules and etiquette and the playing skills to enjoy the game.
Training Sessions cost £7.00 per session or if you intend to come to most of the Training Sessions then a £80.00 season ticket is available. The £80.00 season ticket covers all of the Kirkcudbright on-ice Training Programme, our Claret Jug Points Competition, and any additional Practice Ice you wish to book.
Each session consists of 2 hours on the ice and is broken down as follows:
- Individuals conduct their own warm up and be ready to start training on time.
-
One-hour coaching.
-
One-hour training game.
